White Collar Criminal Defense
The criminal defense attorneys at Chilivis Grubman are some of the most well-known and respected in the State of Georgia and the country. We have successfully defended clients in connection with a wide variety of white collar criminal matters, including healthcare fraud, public corruption, theft, tax offenses, insider trading, and other fraud matters.
Founding partner Scott Grubman has years of experience representing healthcare providers, executives, elected officials, and other individuals and businesses in connection with high-stakes and high-profile white collar criminal matters throughout the country. He has built a reputation for being a “hard-nosed” and aggressive litigator, and has achieved tremendous success for his clients; not only with acquittals at trial, but also with pre-indictment declinations and pre-trial dismissals. Having handled some of the most high profile matters in the country’s history, Scott is skilled not only at defending his clients inside a courtroom, but also in the court of public opinion; working to effectively manage a client’s reputation while defending the client’s legal rights. In addition to his practice, Scott has spent many years as an Adjunct Professor at Emory University School of Law, where he teaches white collar crime, and at Georgia State University College of Law, where he teaches healthcare fraud and abuse. Prior to joining private practice, Scott served as a federal prosecutor, spending the last couple of years investigating and prosecuting healthcare fraud matters.
In addition, two of the firm’s associates — Brandi Murrain and Serreen Meki — are former state prosecutors, and now represent clients in connection with white collar and other criminal defense matters.
